About Us
For over 25 years we have designed and manufactured a wide range of furniture and cabinetry, both fitted and free-standing. We have a small, dedicated team of craftsmen working at our Barnard Castle workshops, while our fitters travel throughout the UK and beyond.
Some contemporaries would scoff at our unique designer software, but we believe only a pencil, a sketchpad and decades of experience and accumulated knowledge can give a truly bespoke experience. You need to know and understand the history of architectural and design merit to create a sympathetic, or even juxtaposed, integration of ideas into a setting.

All our furniture is built in our large fuly equipped workshop in Barnard Castle.
A showroom is attached to our workshop where you are invited to view a cross section of our products. Appointments are preferred but not necessary.
Story
How We began
Derek Nixon graduated with distinction from the internationally acclaimed Rycotewood College. He then spent time in every aspect of the industry and has worked closely with some of the Country’s leading exponents in design, research and product development. In 1993 he joined with brother-in-law Chris Dauber to establish Anthony Nixon Furniture – Anthony being his middle name, and somehow more acceptable during the Trotter’s ‘Del boy’ era!

Our Team
With a loyal team of around 12 people, Anthony Nixon pride themselves on encouraging and training craftsmen for over 25 years. The team currently boasts well over 100 years of experience between them, allowing Anthony Nixon furniture to produce high quality and intricate pieces that compete with the very best.
